Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a global hub for deep-tech and innovation. The state government is reaching out to US investors and tech leaders for support. IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh, on a US tour, highlighted the state’s potential in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum computing, and advanced manufacturing.
In San Francisco, Lokesh met venture capitalists, tech CEOs, and creative-industry executives. He urged them to consider Andhra Pradesh as a base for cutting-edge projects. The state offers policy support and a growing talent pool. A key proposal is a “Deep Tech Innovation Hub” to drive research, development, and commercialisation of emerging technologies.
The minister also showcased several flagship initiatives. The “Creator Land” project in Amaravati aims to attract ₹10,000 crore in investments and create 1.5 lakh jobs. Other projects include a Design & Innovation Academy with Autodesk, a Cybersecurity R&D Centre in Visakhapatnam, and a “Quantum Valley” for quantum computing research.
Beyond tech, Lokesh highlighted opportunities in green energy and electronics manufacturing. He invited companies such as Ohmium and AMD to explore Andhra Pradesh for green hydrogen projects and electronics assembly, testing, and packaging.
He noted that investor-friendly policies have already brought over ₹20 lakh crore into the state in the past 18 months. The government is committed to supporting businesses with infrastructure, skilled workforce, and simplified procedures.
This outreach aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s vision for decentralised and sustainable industrial growth. By combining deep-tech, creative industries, green energy, and advanced manufacturing, the state aims to become a hub for next-generation industries.
Lokesh’s US tour is part of a broader strategy to build global partnerships, attract high-value investments, and create jobs. The goal is to make Andhra Pradesh a centre of innovation and technological excellence.
