Anthropic has launched Claude Opus 4.5, a new version of its AI model that aims to make working with technology feel more seamless and collaborative. Instead of just answering questions, the upgraded Claude is built to assist with real tasks, from writing code to managing multi-step workflows, in a way that feels more dependable and intuitive.
At the heart of the update is a big boost in coding strength. Claude can now understand complex software problems, debug issues, and rewrite code across several languages with more accuracy. It performs better on engineering tests, showing it can support developers with the kind of work that usually demands human attention.
The model also takes a step forward in agentic behaviour, meaning it can plan, break down tasks, use tools and follow through on jobs that have many moving parts. Whether it’s preparing documents, analysing data, or organising information, Claude can now handle deeper, more structured tasks without losing track.
A major quality-of-life improvement is its longer memory. The AI can hold on to more context, making conversations and tasks feel smoother and less repetitive. This helps when users are working on large documents, long coding sessions or multi-stage projects.
Anthropic says Opus 4.5 is also built with stronger safety checks to avoid errors or misuse, especially as AI agents begin to operate with more independence.
