A shocking terror crackdown in Faridabad has left authorities and locals stunned. Police discovered 350 kg of explosives, an AK‑47 rifle, live ammunition, and other weapons stored at a rented lodge near the national capital.
The lodge had been rented three months ago by a young doctor from Pulwama, J&K, who worked in Faridabad. Surprisingly, a second doctor, a woman from J&K, is also under investigation after the rifle was found in her car. Police are probing how deeply she was involved.
In total, seven people have been arrested, including the two doctors and men from various districts in J&K. Officials say the group was part of a terror network with links to Jaish‑e‑Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat‑ul‑Hind (AGuH). Authorities described it as a “white‑collar terror ecosystem,” highlighting the involvement of educated professionals and students in radical activities.
The recovered cache included explosives, firearms, timers, magazines, and walkie‑talkies, items capable of planning large-scale attacks. Police are now investigating how such a huge quantity of explosives was transported and stored so close to the capital, while tracing the network’s funding and foreign contacts.
Authorities have registered cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other arms and explosives laws. The forensic analysis of the seized weapons and explosives is underway.
