Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for selling ketamine that contributed to the death of actor Matthew Perry in October 2023. Sangha, 42, had pleaded guilty to multiple felony drug charges, including distribution resulting in death.
Perry, beloved for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home. He had struggled with addiction for years and was using ketamine for depression under medical supervision. Investigators found that he had obtained additional doses from Sangha illegally, which ultimately led to his death.
Prosecutors described Sangha’s operation as a high-volume, high-end drug distribution network, running from her North Hollywood residence. Court documents revealed she continued dealing drugs even after Perry’s overdose and had previously been linked to another fatal case in 2019.
Perry’s family spoke in court, expressing the ongoing grief and urging a strict sentence. The 15-year term reflects both the severity of the crime and Sangha’s continued involvement in illegal drug sales despite prior warnings. Sangha is one of several individuals convicted in connection with Perry’s overdose, with others awaiting sentencing.
