Kyiv faced a major assault overnight as Russian forces launched missiles and drones across the city. Every district in Ukraine’s capital reported damage, with fires breaking out in residential areas and high‑rise apartments affected.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed 11 people were injured, including a pregnant woman and one person in critical condition. Emergency crews were deployed citywide to tackle fires and restore essential services.
The strike also hit key infrastructure, disrupting heating, electricity, and water supplies in several neighborhoods. Authorities warned of continued risks as winter approaches, urging residents to stay alert.
This comes amid ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s cities, intensifying the humanitarian and infrastructure challenges for the capital.
