Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, 89, has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he was admitted earlier this month due to breathlessness.
He was admitted on October 31 and left the hospital on the morning of November 12. His family decided that he would continue his treatment and recuperation at home.
Dr. Pratit Samdani, who treated the actor, confirmed that Dharmendra’s recovery and care will now continue at home as per the family’s request.
The Deol family released a statement:
“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We request the media and public to respect his privacy and avoid speculation. We are grateful for everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his health and long life.”
In recent days, false reports of his death had circulated online. His daughter, Esha Deol, and wife, Hema Malini, issued statements denying these rumors and appealed for media restraint.
During his hospital stay, several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan, visited him, reflecting the respect and affection he commands in the industry.
Fans have expressed relief and good wishes on social media following news of his safe discharge, hoping for a smooth recovery for the veteran actor.
