Beckham Knighted by King Charles at Windsor Castle

Beckham’s dedication to football and charity earns him one of Britain’s highest honours

Former England soccer captain and one of Britain’s most celebrated players, David Beckham, was officially knighted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle. The ceremony marked a proud moment in Beckham’s life.

He was honoured for his outstanding football career and charitable work, including decades as a UNICEF ambassador. The knighthood recognises his contributions both on and off the pitch.

During the ceremony, Beckham knelt before the King and received the ceremonial sword-tap. His wife, Victoria Beckham, helped design his formal outfit. By tradition, Victoria may now be styled as Lady Beckham.

Beckham said the honour is for him and his family, celebrating the support that carried him to this milestone and his journey from a young London boy to a global sports and cultural icon.
