25 Lakh Fake Votes in Haryana, Claims Rahul

Congress leader alleges large-scale voter fraud, calls it a “hydrogen bomb” of evidence. EC refutes claims

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged massive voter fraud in Haryana, claiming that around 25 lakh votes were manipulated during the recent Assembly elections. Speaking at a press conference today, he said his team had uncovered data showing fake registrations, duplicate entries, and bulk voter lists, which he termed the “hydrogen bomb” of evidence.

According to Gandhi, the findings include 1.24 lakh voters with fake photos, 93,174 invalid entries, and 19.26 lakh bulk-registered voters. Some examples cited were voters appearing multiple times at different booths, use of “house number zero” to hide residence, and individuals registered in both Haryana and Uttar Pradesh simultaneously. Gandhi described the alleged manipulation as a threat to the future of young voters (Gen Z) and accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the BJP of complicity.

The Election Commission responded by noting that no objections had been raised by Congress during the voter list revision process in Haryana. Only 22 election petitions are pending for 90 Assembly seats, indicating that claims of large-scale manipulation should have been formally addressed earlier.

This is the latest in a series of allegations by Gandhi against the ECI in different states, where he has previously claimed irregularities in voter lists. He emphasized that his team had data that could not be ignored and called for a thorough investigation.

The Congress hopes to use these allegations to draw attention to electoral integrity and mobilize voters ahead of upcoming state and national polls. Meanwhile, the ECI faces pressure to verify or dismiss the claims publicly, as the controversy gains political and media attention.
