Will Smith sued over tour harassment

Violinist Brian King Joseph alleges harassment and unfair firing during 2025 world tour

Hollywood star Will Smith is facing a lawsuit from violinist Brian King Joseph, who says he experienced sexual harassment and was unfairly dismissed while working on Smith’s 2025 Based on a True Story world tour.

Joseph, known for being a finalist on America’s Got Talent, joined the tour in late 2024. The lawsuit focuses on an incident in March 2025 in Las Vegas, when Joseph returned to his hotel room and found that someone had entered without his permission.

He discovered personal items that were not his, including wipes, a beer bottle, medical packaging, and a handwritten note with a suggestive message: “Brian, I’ll be back no later … just us.” Joseph says the note made him feel threatened.

After reporting the incident to hotel security, local authorities, and the tour management, Joseph says he was accused of lying and fired just days later, with another violinist brought in to replace him. He claims this was retaliation for speaking up.

The lawsuit also alleges Smith engaged in personal comments and grooming behavior, which contributed to Joseph’s distress. Joseph is seeking compensation for emotional suffering, PTSD, financial loss, and harm to his reputation.

As of now, Will Smith and his team have not responded publicly. These are serious allegations, and the case is ongoing. Nothing in the lawsuit has been proven in court.
