The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21 following the controversy surrounding the alleged paper leak in the medical entrance test. The decision comes amid mounting concerns over the integrity of the examination process and growing pressure from students and parents across the country.
The original NEET-UG examination was conducted earlier this month for lakhs of medical aspirants. However, allegations soon surfaced that question papers had been leaked through online platforms and messaging groups before the examination began. Following preliminary findings and public criticism, authorities decided to cancel the examination and order a re-test.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the case and investigating the possible involvement of middlemen, coaching-linked operators and insiders connected to the leak. Several people have reportedly been questioned in connection with the investigation.
