Cockroach Janta Party creator relaunches account

After Instagram and X restrictions, the viral satire page starts fresh account as followers continue to grow

The satirical Instagram page “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP), created by Abhijeet Dipke, is back in focus after facing restrictions on its original social media accounts.

The page, which is known for political memes, parody campaigns and humorous takes on current affairs, has built a massive following of over 10 million users on Instagram. Its rapid growth has made it one of India’s most widely followed satire-based political pages.

CJP presents itself like a fictional political party, using spoof manifestos, exaggerated promises and meme-style posts to comment on politics and everyday issues. The content has strongly resonated with younger audiences, especially Gen Z users, who frequently share and remix its posts online.

Dipke, the creator behind the page, is known for his sharp humour and consistent digital content style. While some reports have linked him to past political campaign-related digital work, there is no official connection between CJP and any political organisation.

Recent updates suggest that the page’s X (formerly Twitter) account was withheld, and its Instagram presence also faced disruptions. Following this, Dipke has started a new account and resumed posting similar content.

Despite these actions, engagement around CJP remains strong, with millions of followers continuing to interact with its posts and share them widely. The situation has added to ongoing discussions about online content regulation, meme culture, and the influence of satire pages on political conversations.

Some users view CJP as harmless entertainment that reflects public sentiment in a humorous way, while others believe such large satire platforms can shape opinions among younger audiences.
