India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Qatar’s top officials in Doha on 16 November 2025. He held discussions with Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and also called on Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The talks aimed at enhancing India–Qatar relations, covering areas like trade, energy, investment, and people-to-people links. Both sides shared views on regional and global issues, including developments in the Middle East.
Jaishankar thanked Qatar’s leadership for their support and emphasized India’s interest in exploring new avenues of cooperation. Bilateral trade between the two countries reached US$ 14 billion in 2023–24.
