Dr Umar behind the Red Fort blast, 13 dead

Forensic test links leg found in car to attacker; several others remain hospitalized

DNA testing by the Delhi Police has confirmed that Dr Umar Un Nabi was behind the wheel of the vehicle used in the Red Fort blast. A charred leg found trapped between the steering wheel and accelerator was matched with DNA from his family.

The explosion, which occurred on Monday evening, has now claimed 13 lives after another injured person passed away at LNJP Hospital. Several others remain hospitalized.

Investigations show the car traveled through multiple locations in Delhi before reaching the Red Fort. A secondary vehicle linked to Nabi’s network was recovered in Faridabad. Authorities continue to probe the wider conspiracy, his associates, and the source of explosives.
