Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has taken responsibility for the problems reported in CBSE’s Online School Management (OSM) system and assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible.
The issue surfaced after several schools complained about mistakes in student records, subject details, and registration information on the CBSE portal. The errors caused confusion among students, parents, and school authorities during important academic procedures.
Speaking on the matter, Pradhan said the government is treating the issue seriously and has asked CBSE officials to correct all mistakes quickly. He assured students that their academic future would not be affected because of technical or administrative errors.
The minister also said officials responsible for the lapses would face action. He directed the board to improve monitoring and make the online system more reliable to prevent similar problems in the future.
Schools from different states had reportedly raised concerns about incorrect entries and technical glitches on the portal. Some students faced issues related to subjects, personal information, and exam records.
Pradhan said protecting students’ interests remains the government’s priority. He added that all genuine complaints would be resolved as soon as possible.
CBSE officials have started reviewing complaints and are working with schools to fix the issues. The board is also expected to improve technical support for schools using the system.
The incident has raised concerns about dependence on digital systems in education and the need for better checking mechanisms before student data is uploaded online.
Parents and school authorities have demanded faster solutions and stronger systems to avoid such problems in the future.
