NSA Doval, UAE President discuss regional stability

India and UAE discuss West Asia developments and deepen strategic cooperation

India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi for high-level talks focused on regional stability and bilateral cooperation.

The discussions covered the evolving situation in West Asia, where ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to affect security and energy markets. Both sides exchanged views on maintaining peace and ensuring stability in the region.

The meeting also reviewed the India–UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Key areas of cooperation included defence, energy security, trade, and investment. Both countries expressed interest in expanding collaboration beyond traditional sectors into newer strategic domains.

Energy security featured prominently in the talks, given the UAE’s role as a major energy partner for India. Both sides underlined the importance of stable and reliable energy supplies amid global uncertainty.

Officials said the engagement reflects the continued close coordination between India and the UAE on regional and global issues. The meeting also reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and maintaining regular high-level dialogue.
