The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will independently decide the powers and responsibilities of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with no interference from the government, Trust chairman Nripendra Misra has clarified.
Speaking amid discussions over the temple’s administrative structure, Misra said the Trust is fully empowered to take decisions regarding its internal functioning. He emphasised that the government has no role in determining the authority or responsibilities of the CEO, as these matters fall entirely within the Trust’s jurisdiction.
Misra said the Trust was established as an independent body to oversee the construction, management and future administration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. All decisions related to governance, appointments and delegation of powers are taken by the Trust’s members in accordance with its rules and objectives.
His remarks come amid public interest over the role of the CEO in managing the temple’s day-to-day affairs, particularly as the temple continues to witness a large number of devotees following the consecration ceremony earlier this year.
According to Misra, the Trust regularly reviews its administrative requirements and makes changes whenever necessary to ensure efficient functioning. He said any decision regarding the CEO’s authority will be based on operational needs and will be taken collectively by the Trust.
He also stressed that the temple’s management remains focused on improving facilities for devotees, maintaining smooth operations and completing the remaining construction work within the planned timeline.
The Ram Temple has emerged as one of the country’s biggest pilgrimage destinations, attracting thousands of visitors every day. With the growing number of devotees, the Trust has been strengthening arrangements related to crowd management, security, accommodation and other public facilities.
Misra reiterated that the Trust’s priority is to ensure transparent and efficient administration while preserving the religious and cultural significance of the temple. He added that decisions concerning governance are made independently and are not influenced by external agencies.
