Nothing has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Phone 4b and a special RCB Edition inspired by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. While the standard model targets everyday users, the limited-edition version is aimed at cricket fans looking for a more personalised device.
The Phone 4b starts at ₹29,999 and combines premium-looking design with practical upgrades. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Running Nothing OS based on Android 16, the device is backed by three years of Android updates and six years of security support.
A major talking point is the India-exclusive 6,000mAh battery, offering longer usage between charges. Combined with fast charging support, the battery is expected to handle gaming, streaming and work throughout the day without frequent recharging.
The smartphone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. Nothing has continued its transparent design language while adding a mini Glyph Bar that provides visual alerts for incoming calls, notifications and charging status.
AI also plays a bigger role in the new device. The Essential AI suite helps users manage reminders, notes and daily activities more efficiently, making routine tasks quicker and easier.
On the camera front, the Phone 4b includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation alongside an ultra-wide camera. The front-facing camera is designed for selfies and video calls, completing a package aimed at everyday smartphone users.
The special RCB Edition features customised colours, exclusive design elements and themed software touches celebrating the IPL franchise. While the hardware remains the same as the standard model, the limited edition is expected to appeal to collectors and loyal RCB supporters.
The Phone 4b series will be available from July 14 through online and offline retail channels, giving Indian consumers another strong option in the competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
