Authorities raided Al‑Falah University in Faridabad as part of the probe into the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that killed 1 person and injured several others.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is reviewing the university’s finances, while the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating suspected terror links involving some staff. Investigators seized nearly 2,900 kg of explosives, rifles, pistols, timers, and walkie-talkies.
Building 17, Room 13 on campus is believed to have been used for planning the attack. CCTV from over 40 cameras traced the Hyundai i20 used in the blast through sensitive areas of Delhi before the explosion.
The university’s founder, Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, and 3 doctors have been questioned. The NAAC has issued a notice over false accreditation claims, and the Association of Indian Universities suspended the university’s membership temporarily.
