CBSE portal errors spark concerns

Education Ministry brings in IIT experts after technical issues disrupt applications

Thousands of students seeking re-evaluation of their CBSE examination results have been facing difficulties after technical problems affected the board’s online portal, creating confusion and concern among students and parents.

The issue surfaced as students attempted to access the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) portal for services related to re-evaluation and verification of marks. Many reported problems including login failures, slow responses and difficulty completing application processes.

The disruption caused frustration among students, especially those working within limited deadlines to submit requests. Several students and parents expressed concern that technical issues could affect their chances of applying for re-evaluation on time.

Following complaints and growing concerns, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stepped in and directed efforts to resolve the issue. IIT experts have reportedly been brought in to identify the technical problems and restore smooth functioning of the system.

Officials said steps are being taken to address the glitches and ensure that students do not face disadvantages due to technical failures. Authorities are expected to monitor the situation closely until the portal operates normally.

The re-evaluation process is important for students who wish to request a review of their marks or seek verification after results are declared. For many students, these applications can influence academic decisions, college admissions and future educational plans.

Students and parents have urged authorities to extend deadlines if technical issues continue, arguing that applicants should not lose opportunities because of system-related problems beyond their control.

Officials have indicated that technical teams are actively working to fix the issue and improve system performance. Students have been advised to continue checking official updates and announcements regarding the status of the portal and any changes related to application deadlines.
