Man held for exploiting 180 minor girls

Lured minors online, filmed 350 videos, used threats to exploit victims

A disturbing case has emerged from Amravati, where a young man has been arrested for allegedly exploiting a large number of minor girls over a period of time.

The accused, identified as Mohammad Ayaz, is said to have targeted nearly 180 girls, many of them minors. Police say he recorded more than 350 obscene videos, which he later used to threaten and control his victims.

According to investigators, the accused used social media platforms to approach girls. He would first gain their trust by pretending to be in a relationship. Once he built a connection, he allegedly manipulated and exploited them, often recording videos without their knowledge.

These videos were then used to blackmail the victims. In several cases, the girls were threatened with the videos being shared publicly if they did not comply with his demands. This created a cycle of fear, making it difficult for victims to speak out.

The case came to light after a complaint was filed, following which police launched an investigation. The accused was arrested, and his mobile phone and other digital devices were seized. Officials are now analysing the data to identify more victims and understand the full extent of the crime.

So far, only a limited number of victims have been identified, even though the number could be much higher. Police have urged other victims to come forward, assuring them of privacy and support.

Authorities are also investigating whether the accused acted alone or if others were involved. The scale of the case has raised concerns about the possible existence of a wider network.

The incident has shocked the local community and raised serious questions about online safety, especially for minors. Experts say it highlights how social media can be misused to target vulnerable individuals through manipulation and emotional pressure.
