Samsung’s new health features for Galaxy watch

Upcoming smartwatch features aim to provide deeper health insights through artificial intelligence

Samsung has announced a new set of artificial intelligence-powered health features for its upcoming Galaxy Watch lineup, highlighting the company’s growing focus on preventive healthcare and personalized wellness tracking.

The new tools, unveiled ahead of the next-generation Galaxy Watch launch, are designed to help users better understand their overall health through advanced data analysis and personalized recommendations. Samsung says the features will leverage AI to turn health data into meaningful insights that can support healthier lifestyle choices.

Among the new additions is the Antioxidant Index, which measures carotenoid levels in the body. Carotenoids are nutrients commonly found in fruits and vegetables and are linked to overall health and well-being. The feature aims to give users a simple way to monitor dietary habits and nutritional balance.

Samsung has also introduced Bedtime Guidance, an AI-driven tool that analyses sleep patterns and recommends optimal sleeping times. By studying a user’s recent sleep history, the feature seeks to improve sleep quality and help establish healthier sleep routines.

Another addition is Vascular Load monitoring, which evaluates stress on the vascular system during sleep. The company says the feature can provide insights into cardiovascular health by tracking how the body’s circulatory system responds during rest.

For fitness enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch will include a Running Coach feature that creates personalized training programmes based on an individual’s fitness level and performance data. The AI-powered coach is designed to help users improve endurance and reduce the risk of injury through tailored guidance.

Samsung said these features reflect a broader shift from simple activity tracking to more comprehensive health management. By combining wearable sensors with artificial intelligence, the company hopes to offer users a clearer picture of their physical condition and long-term wellness.
