Ahmedabad came alive on April 6, 2026, as over 10,000 fans gathered at the Adani Shantigram Cricket Ground for sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma’s much-anticipated concert, part of his “Sitar for Mental Health” tour.
The evening blended classical ragas with modern compositions, taking the audience on a meditative and emotional musical journey. Highlights included Rishab’s original pieces like Shankara and Burning Ghat, as well as a tribute to his mentor, the late Pandit Ravi Shankar, with the raga Tilak Kamod performed just before Rishab’s birthday.
Adding a visual spectacle, Rishab performed on the SITARA — The Next Generation Electric Sitar, featuring LED lights synced to the music, creating a mesmerizing experience for everyone in attendance. The concert also began with a guided breathing session, setting a calm and reflective mood before the music swelled.
The event attracted several celebrity guests, including actress Tamannaah Bhatia, sports administrator Jay Shah, and media personality Sanjana Ganesan, who mingled with the crowd and enjoyed the performances. Fans also cheered when Rishab was presented with a handcrafted diamond portrait, made with 11,000 diamonds, honoring his musical achievements.
