Apple Inc. plans ‘Ultra’ iPhone, MacBook

Foldable iPhone, advanced MacBook may lead Apple’s next premium upgrade push

Apple Inc. could soon introduce a new “Ultra” category for its devices, signalling a bigger push into the premium segment of the market.

Reports suggest the company is working on an “iPhone Ultra,” which may become its most advanced smartphone so far. This model is expected to sit above the current Pro lineup, offering more powerful features and a fresh design approach.

One of the biggest changes could be Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Unlike its current models, this device may come with a screen that folds like a book, allowing users to enjoy a larger display while still keeping the phone compact. If launched, it would mark a major shift for Apple, which has so far avoided entering the foldable phone space.

At the same time, Apple is also believed to be developing a “MacBook Ultra.” This could be a top-end laptop designed for users who need high performance and advanced capabilities. The device may feature an OLED display, which would offer sharper visuals, better contrast, and improved brightness compared to existing MacBooks.

There are also indications that Apple could explore touchscreen functionality in future MacBooks. This would be a notable change, as the company has long resisted adding touchscreens to its laptops.

The “Ultra” branding is already used by Apple for some of its most powerful products, such as high-end chips and the Apple Watch Ultra. Expanding this branding to iPhones and MacBooks would clearly position these devices as the company’s most premium offerings.
