NTA issues advisory ahead of NEET re-exam

Candidates receive admit card updates and revised centre information

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a safety advisory and important updates for candidates appearing in the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, urging them to rely only on official communication channels and remain alert to misinformation.

As part of its outreach efforts, the NTA has started sending updates through WhatsApp and other official platforms regarding admit cards, examination centres and reporting instructions. The move is aimed at ensuring that candidates receive timely and accurate information ahead of the re-exam.

The agency has advised students and parents to avoid believing rumours circulating on social media and to verify all exam-related information through official NTA websites and notifications. Candidates have also been reminded not to share personal details, login credentials or admit card information with unauthorised individuals.

In a significant development, the NTA revised the examination venue for candidates allotted a centre in Prayagraj. Fresh details regarding the new venue have been communicated to affected students through updated admit cards and official notifications. Candidates have been advised to carefully check their admit cards again to confirm their examination centre, reporting time and other instructions.

The re-examination is being conducted to address issues that affected a section of candidates during the earlier test. With the exam date approaching, authorities are focusing on ensuring a smooth and transparent process.

For many students, the revised arrangements have brought both relief and anxiety. While the additional communication measures are intended to reduce confusion, candidates are being encouraged to remain vigilant and regularly monitor official updates.
