The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led movement that recently gained national attention over examination-related issues, has launched a nationwide protest campaign demanding accountability and reforms in India’s education system.
The latest phase of the agitation began in Pune, where CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke unveiled the organisation’s education manifesto and outlined plans to expand protests across several cities. The movement is seeking action over alleged examination irregularities, paper leaks and administrative lapses that have affected students across the country.
Addressing supporters, Dipke said the campaign aims to highlight concerns surrounding the conduct of competitive examinations and restore confidence in the education system. The group has called for greater transparency in examinations, stronger accountability mechanisms and reforms in agencies responsible for conducting national tests.
The protest follows growing student anger over recent controversies involving major entrance and recruitment examinations. CJP leaders argue that repeated incidents have created uncertainty for millions of students and have undermined trust in the examination process. The organisation has also demanded accountability from officials responsible for managing national examinations.
According to the group, demonstrations will be organised in multiple cities as part of a nationwide campaign. Leaders have indicated that the movement could intensify in the coming weeks if its demands are not addressed. Plans for protests in cities including Lucknow, Jaipur, Amritsar and Bengaluru have also been announced.
The movement, which initially emerged on social media, has rapidly evolved into a broader platform for student grievances related to education and employment. Recent protests have drawn significant participation from young people, many of whom have expressed concerns about examination integrity and career opportunities.
