POCO has launched its new C81 series in India, introducing two budget smartphones, the POCO C81 and POCO C81x, aimed at entry-level users looking for strong battery life and smooth everyday use.
The highlight of both phones is battery capacity. The POCO C81 comes with a 6,300mAh battery, while the C81x packs a 5,200mAh unit. Both support 15W charging and also offer reverse charging to power other devices.
Both models feature large HD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and basic gaming. The C81 has a slightly larger 6.9-inch screen, while the C81x has a 6.88-inch display.
The phones are powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor and come in modest configurations, up to 4GB RAM on the C81 and 3GB RAM on the C81x, with 64GB internal storage and support for microSD expansion.
On the software side, the C81 runs Android 16 with HyperOS, while the C81x ships with an earlier version of the same interface. POCO is also promising software updates, which is uncommon in this price segment.
For cameras, both phones include a 13MP rear camera setup and a basic front camera for selfies and video calls. The focus is on functionality rather than advanced photography features.
With this launch, POCO is targeting first-time smartphone users and budget buyers who want long battery life, a smooth display, and basic performance without spending much.
The pricing keeps the series firmly in the budget category. The C81x starts at around ₹9,999, while the C81 is priced at about ₹10,999. Both devices will be available via Flipkart.
