New mid-tier subscription boosts coding limits for heavy users

OpenAI has introduced a new $100 monthly ChatGPT Pro plan aimed at people who use the tool heavily, especially developers working with coding tasks.
The new plan gives users much higher limits on Codex, OpenAI’s coding assistant, about five times more than what Plus users get. This means fewer interruptions and more room for long, complex projects.
In India, the subscription is priced at around ₹10,699 per month. It sits between the cheaper Plus plan and the premium top-tier option, giving users more choice depending on how much they use the tool.
OpenAI has also made changes to its existing Plus plan limits, likely to manage growing demand and balance system usage as more people adopt AI tools in their daily work.
The launch comes as competition in AI coding tools is heating up, with other companies offering similar developer-focused products. With this new plan, OpenAI is trying to strike a balance between affordability and high performance for serious users.
