PM Modi’s Netherlands trip aims at future ties

Meetings aim to strengthen cooperation in technology, clean energy and strategic sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Netherlands as part of his ongoing five-nation tour, with key discussions expected to focus on expanding cooperation in technology, trade and sustainability. The visit is being seen as an important step in strengthening India’s growing partnership with the European nation.

A major focus of the visit is likely to be semiconductor collaboration, as India continues to push efforts to strengthen its technology and manufacturing ecosystem. The Netherlands plays a key role in the global semiconductor sector, making it an important partner for India’s ambitions in advanced technology.

Beyond technology, both countries are expected to discuss areas such as water management, renewable energy, climate initiatives and investment opportunities. The Netherlands is widely recognised for its expertise in water systems and flood management, which could open new opportunities for collaboration with India.

PM Modi is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Dutch leaders and engage with business representatives to explore fresh investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties. Discussions may also cover innovation, sustainable development and long-term strategic cooperation.
