OPPO is bringing a combination of portable computing and premium wireless audio to Indian consumers with the launch of the OPPO Pad Mini and OPPO Enco X4. Announced alongside the Find X10 smartphone series, the new devices are designed for people who want advanced features without carrying bulky gadgets.
The OPPO Pad Mini is a compact Android tablet equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and an 8.8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The Enco X4 wireless earbuds, meanwhile, focus on sound quality, intelligent noise cancellation and improved call clarity.
The launches also expand OPPO’s premium ecosystem, giving users more options to pair a tablet or earbuds with compatible smartphones.
The OPPO Pad Mini Matte Display Edition is priced at Rs 94,999 in India. It is available in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, with Lavender Purple as the listed colour option.
The tablet is scheduled to go on sale from October 29 through Flipkart and OPPO’s official online store. Its premium price reflects its positioning as a high-performance compact tablet rather than an entry-level device.
One of the main attractions of the OPPO Pad Mini is its 8.8-inch OLED display, which offers a resolution of 2,520 x 1,680 pixels. The panel supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz, allowing smoother scrolling, animations and gameplay.
The matte finish is intended to reduce reflections and make the screen more comfortable to use in bright surroundings. It also provides a paper-like feel for stylus-based activities, potentially making the tablet useful for reading, note-taking and digital writing.
OPPO lists peak full-screen brightness at 1,600 nits, with local brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits. These specifications should help the display remain visible in challenging lighting conditions, although real-world viewing comfort will depend on the environment.
The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This combination is designed to support demanding applications, multitasking and graphics-intensive games.
It runs ColorOS 16 and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The device measures approximately 5.5mm in thickness and weighs around 279 grams, making portability a key part of its appeal.
Battery, charging and cameras
The OPPO Pad Mini packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. OPPO claims up to 19.5 hours of video playback, although actual endurance will vary depending on brightness, network use and the applications running in the background.
For photography and video calls, the tablet includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. These cameras are intended primarily for everyday use, including online meetings, scanning documents and video chats.
The compact form factor could appeal to travellers, students and professionals who want a tablet that is easier to carry than a larger model. However, buyers will need to weigh these advantages against the high asking price.
The OPPO Enco X4 true wireless stereo earbuds are priced at Rs 19,999 in India. They come in Glacier White and Aurora Violet colour options, with sales scheduled to begin on October 29 through OPPO’s online store and Amazon India.
The earbuds feature a dual-driver system comprising an 11mm woofer and a 6mm planar diaphragm tweeter. Each driver has a dedicated digital-to-analogue converter, while sound tuning developed with Dynaudio is intended to deliver a balanced listening experience.
Users can choose from five sound profiles, including options designed to emphasise vocals, high frequencies or bass. The earbuds also support LHDC lossless audio transmission at bitrates of up to 2.3Mbps and audio quality of up to 24-bit/48kHz. Access to lossless playback requires a compatible OPPO Find X series smartphone.
The Enco X4 combines adaptive active noise cancellation, a triple-microphone system and a 6nm neural processing unit to respond to surrounding sounds. OPPO claims overall noise cancellation performance is up to 100% stronger than that of the previous generation, with improvements of up to 30% in speech-frequency noise cancellation.
Conversation Awareness can lower music volume and switch to transparency mode when the wearer begins speaking. AI Clear Call is designed to reduce background noise and improve voice clarity during calls.
The earbuds also support spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, Bluetooth 6.1 and simultaneous connections to two devices. Selected features, including AI translation, depend on compatible smartphones and software versions.
OPPO claims up to 13 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC disabled, extending to 53 hours with the charging case. With ANC switched on, the figures fall to six hours on the earbuds and 26 hours with the case. The earbuds support USB-C charging, and OPPO says a 10-minute charge can provide up to 14 hours of playback under specified conditions.
An IP55 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, although the charging case is not similarly rated.
Together, the OPPO Pad Mini and Enco X4 target consumers seeking premium performance in portable devices. The tablet stands out for its fast matte OLED display and flagship processor, while the earbuds focus on sound quality, noise cancellation and battery endurance. Their prices, however, mean buyers will need to decide whether these specialised features justify the additional cost.
