NDA marks Operation Sindoor anniversary

NDA leaders adopted commemorative DPs honouring bravery and sacrifice of armed forces

Leaders across the NDA paid tribute to the armed forces by updating their social media profile pictures on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday changed the display pictures of his social media accounts to mark one year of Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched after the Pahalgam terror attack in 2025.

Soon after the Prime Minister updated his profile picture, several Union ministers and NDA leaders followed suit, using the same commemorative image across platforms such as X, Facebook and Instagram.

The special display picture carries the words “Operation Sindoor” along with the Indian tricolour on a dark background. The design is seen as a tribute to the armed forces and their role in the operation.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and other senior leaders were among those who adopted the image on their accounts.

Marking the anniversary, Prime Minister Modi also praised the courage and commitment of India’s armed forces and reiterated the government’s stand against terrorism.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, 2025, in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed several lives. The operation was described by the government as a strong and targeted action against terror networks.
