Rohit, Anirudh lead Men of Platinum’s campaign

New four-film campaign explores resilience, self-belief and the values behind lasting success

Success is often measured by trophies, awards, milestones and public recognition. Yet, the journey behind these achievements is shaped by less visible qualities, including resilience, self-belief, accountability and the courage to keep moving forward. Men of Platinum, the men’s jewellery brand from Platinum Guild International (PGI) India, has placed these values at the centre of its latest campaign featuring Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Built around the central thought, ‘Enduring success is forged through character’, the campaign explores the personal experiences, difficult moments and decisions that influence professional growth. Rather than focusing only on the rewards of success, the films examine what it takes to sustain it over time.

The campaign comprises four films, with Sharma and Ravichander appearing in two films each. While the Indian cricketer reflects on accountability and resilience in the face of defeat, the music composer explores self-doubt, creative growth and the pressure to match earlier achievements.

Conceptualised by creative agency Famous Innovations, the campaign is being rolled out across digital platforms, print and outdoor media during the festive season.

Sharma’s films, titled ‘Live up to it’ and ‘Showing Up’, draw from his journey in cricket and the demands of performing at the highest level. His story reflects the responsibility that accompanies recognition, as well as the ability to recover from setbacks and return with renewed determination.

The films explore a familiar reality for athletes: success does not eliminate pressure, and defeat is not the end of the journey. The challenge lies in accepting responsibility, learning from difficult experiences and finding the motivation to begin again.

Sharma believes platinum offers a fitting symbol for these qualities because of its enduring strength. He has emphasised that achievement matters, but the way a person reaches a goal is equally important. The message connects sporting discipline with the values that shape a person’s character beyond the field.

Ravichander’s films, ‘What’s Next’ and ‘Unsure’, take a different route into the same theme. The composer reflects on the uncertainty that can follow an early breakthrough and the pressure to continue creating work that meets expectations.

Creative success often brings a new set of challenges. An achievement that once seemed like a distant goal can become the standard against which every subsequent effort is judged. Ravichander’s story explores the importance of questioning oneself, continuing to evolve and remaining open to new possibilities.

The two personalities bring different professional experiences to the campaign, but their journeys share a common thread. Both work in demanding fields where public expectations remain high and sustained performance requires more than talent alone. Their stories help the brand connect platinum jewellery with personal values rather than treating it simply as an accessory or a marker of status.

The campaign also reflects Men of Platinum’s broader effort to expand the appeal of men’s platinum jewellery across styles and occasions. The brand is looking to reach men who prefer contemporary, design-led pieces as expressions of individual style, as well as those who choose distinctive jewellery to mark personal milestones and achievements.

Sujala Martis, director of consumer marketing at Platinum Guild International India, said the relationship between men and jewellery is creating a wider opportunity for platinum. The brand aims to offer choices ranging from statement pieces that convey presence and achievement to contemporary designs suited to individual expression.

This approach comes as brands increasingly explore ways to make men’s jewellery relevant to everyday dressing as well as special occasions. Jewellery is being positioned not only as a gift or celebration purchase but also as an extension of personal identity, taste and lifestyle.

Platinum’s association with durability and lasting strength gives the campaign a natural link between the material and its message. By connecting the metal’s qualities with the resilience required to navigate professional and personal challenges, Men of Platinum seeks to build an emotional association with its products.

The partnership with Sharma and Ravichander also brings together two prominent figures from cricket and contemporary Indian music, allowing the campaign to speak to audiences with different interests and aspirations. Their contrasting journeys give the four films a wider narrative, while keeping character and perseverance at the heart of the brand’s communication.

Ultimately, the campaign moves beyond celebrating success as a final destination. It focuses on the choices, convictions and continued effort that shape the journey. Through its new films, Men of Platinum is making a case for jewellery that represents not just what a person has achieved, but also the character and values that helped make those achievements possible.
