Jio launches ₹10,000 three-year plan

New prepaid offer bundles unlimited 5G, calls, streaming and cloud storage for 36 months

Reliance Jio has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan priced at ₹10,000, offering subscribers three years of mobile connectivity along with unlimited 5G data and several digital benefits. The plan comes with a validity of 1,095 days and is designed for customers who prefer making a single payment instead of renewing their mobile connections every month or year.

The new offering combines unlimited voice calls, 2.5GB of high-speed internet data every day, unlimited 5G access and 100 SMS per day. Subscribers will also receive a JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood subscription, a 12-month Canva Pro Lite subscription and 50GB of complimentary storage on JioAICloud.

Jio has positioned the package as an industry-first three-year unlimited connectivity plan. It brings together telecom services, entertainment and digital productivity tools in a single recharge, reflecting the growing competition among operators to offer more than conventional voice and data benefits.

The biggest attraction of the ₹10,000 Jio prepaid plan is its extended validity. Customers can secure their mobile connectivity for three years without having to remember frequent recharge dates. The effective daily cost works out to approximately ₹9.13, making it an option for subscribers who prefer long-term prepaid arrangements.

The plan provides 2.5GB of high-speed data every day, which amounts to approximately 2,737.5GB over the full validity period. In addition, eligible customers can access unlimited 5G data through Jio’s True 5G network. Users must have a compatible 5G smartphone and be within an eligible network coverage area to enjoy this benefit.

It is important to distinguish between the daily data allowance and unlimited 5G access. The 2.5GB allowance applies to regular high-speed mobile data, while unlimited 5G is available separately, subject to Jio’s applicable terms and eligibility conditions. The package also includes unlimited voice calls across networks and 100 SMS messages every day.

Apart from connectivity, Jio has included entertainment benefits through JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood. Subscribers can access a range of entertainment content, including films, television programmes, original shows and live sports. The addition is expected to appeal to customers who regularly consume streaming content on their mobile devices.

The recharge also offers a 12-month Canva Pro Lite subscription. Canva is a popular design platform used to create presentations, posters, invitations, social media graphics and other digital content. Its additional design features and templates could be useful for students, professionals, small businesses and content creators.

Another bundled benefit is 50GB of complimentary storage through JioAICloud. Subscribers can use the service to store photographs, documents and other digital files. With this addition, Jio is attempting to make the plan more attractive to users who want connectivity and digital storage services under one package.

However, not all bundled benefits carry the same validity. While the mobile connectivity package runs for three years, Canva Pro Lite is available for 12 months. Customers should check the terms applicable to individual subscriptions before activating them.

The new recharge also offers potential savings when compared with Jio’s existing annual prepaid plans. For instance, the operator’s ₹3,599 annual plan provides 365 days of validity, unlimited voice calls, 2.5GB daily data, unlimited 5G access and 100 SMS per day, along with digital benefits.

If a customer purchases the ₹3,599 annual recharge three times, the total expenditure would be ₹10,797 over approximately three years. In comparison, the new ₹10,000 plan costs ₹797 less over a similar period. This makes it a potentially economical option for subscribers who intend to remain with Jio and use comparable services.

The upfront payment, however, may not suit every customer. Those who prefer monthly or quarterly recharges may find it difficult to commit ₹10,000 at once. The long validity also means subscribers must be comfortable staying with the same operator for an extended period to make the most of the offer.

Customers can access the new Jio three-year recharge through the MyJio application, the company’s official website, Jio retail stores and authorised outlets. The plan is available across India from November 7, 2026.

The launch comes as India’s telecom industry increasingly focuses on bundled digital services to attract and retain subscribers. With mobile data consumption rising due to video streaming, online gaming, digital payments and remote working, operators are exploring ways to combine connectivity with entertainment and productivity offerings.

For Reliance Jio, the three-year plan could help strengthen customer retention by encouraging subscribers to stay on its network for longer. For consumers, it offers an alternative to conventional prepaid recharges, with the added advantage of bundled digital services and long-term price certainty.

The success of the ₹10,000 plan will ultimately depend on whether subscribers consider its upfront cost worthwhile. Customers who regularly use 5G connectivity, streaming platforms and cloud storage may find the package appealing, while those seeking greater flexibility could prefer shorter-validity recharge options.
